Clafoutis is a charming French dessert where juicy cherries are enveloped in a light, flan-like batter. This sweet, custardy treat is simple yet elegant, perfect for a summer dessert or a cozy afternoon snack.

  • 250 g fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Arrange cherries in the bottom of the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour over cherries.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the batter is set and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
