Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a saucepan, heat cream, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper until warm.
  3. Arrange a layer of potatoes in the baking dish. Pour some cream mixture over the potatoes. Repeat layers.
  4. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 1 hour, until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
