1/2cup yogurt
1cup sugar
1cup water
1/4 tsp saffron threads
Ghee or oil for frying
Instructions
In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, chickpea flour, baking powder, and yogurt to form a smooth batter. Let it ferment for 4-5 hours.
In a pot, make sugar syrup by boiling sugar, water, and saffron threads until it reaches a sticky consistency.
Heat ghee or oil in a deep pan. Pour the batter into a piping bag and pipe spiral shapes into the hot oil.
Fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Soak the fried jalebis in the sugar syrup for a few minutes.
