Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 10 Rice Paper Wrappers
  • 200g Minced Meat (Beef, Pork or Chicken)
  • 100g Shredded Cabbage
  • 50g Shredded Carrots
  • 50g Bean Sprouts
  • 50g Chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for Frying

Instructions

  1. Heat some cooking oil over medium heat in a pan. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the shredded cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, and chopped spring onions. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Season the mixture with soy sauce, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Prepare a bowl of warm water. Dip a rice paper wrapper into the water for a few seconds until it softens.
  6. Lay the softened rice paper on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the vegetable and meat mixture in the center.
  7. Fold the bottom edge of the rice paper over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly to enclose the filling completely.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  9. Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the spring rolls into the pan and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  10. Remove the spring rolls from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  11. Serve the spring rolls hot with dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
