Larb is a spicy minced meat salad made with ground meat, fresh herbs, and a tangy lime dressing. It’s a popular dish from the northeastern region of Thailand, known for its bold flavors and refreshing taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken, pork, or beef
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp rice powder (toasted rice ground into a powder)
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 23 Thai chilies, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a pan, cook the ground meat with chicken broth until done.
  2. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Add fish sauce, lime juice, and rice powder. Mix well.
  3. Stir in red onion, green onions, mint leaves, cilantro, and Thai chilies.
  4. Serve immediately, preferably with fresh vegetables and sticky rice. Enjoy!
