PrintMicrowave Chips Recipe
Enjoy the crisp and delicious taste of homemade microwave chips, a healthier and quicker alternative to traditional fried chips. Thinly sliced potatoes are seasoned and cooked in the microwave until golden and crunchy. Try making them at home for a guilt-free snack that’s ready in minutes.
- Total Time: 15 min
- Yield: 2 portions 1x
- Category: Easy
Ingredients
- 200g Potatoes (1 large piece)
- Sweet Paprika
- Rosemary
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili (optionally)
Instructions
- Peel and wash the potato.
- Cut it into thin slices (as thin as possible). You can use a peeler or grater.
- Pour very cold water into the bowl.
- Then put the potatoes into the water. Mix and put in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes from the water, divide the potatoes into batches and dry the potatoes thoroughly with a paper towel.
- Place the dry slices on the baking paper (placed on a plate) so that none of the slices are touching each other. They must be placed separately, otherwise they will not bake properly.
- Sprinkle the slices with spices (quantities at your discretion) on one side.
- Place the prepared slices in the microwave and bake for about 3 minutes.
- After this time, check if they are ready. Chips should not be too dark (this is a sign that they may have burnt).
- The chips should be perfectly crunchy – extend the baking time if necessary. The time depends on the power of the microwave and the type of potatoes. Enjoy!
