- 1.5 kg mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 200 ml white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, and cook until softened.
- Add mussels to the pot and pour in white wine. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, until mussels have opened.
- Stir in heavy cream and parsley, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with crusty bread for soaking up the delicious broth. Enjoy!
