- 2 large eggplants, sliced
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400 g canned tomatoes
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
- 2 cups béchamel sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush eggplant slices with olive oil and bake until tender.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Add tomatoes, cinnamon, oregano, red wine, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer eggplant slices, followed by the meat sauce. Spread béchamel sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
