- 1 jar grape leaves, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup rice
- 250 g ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook onion and garlic until softened. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
- Stir in rice, pine nuts, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Place a spoonful of filling on each grape leaf and roll tightly. Arrange in a pot.
- Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Add enough water to cover the dolmades.
- Simmer for 45 minutes until rice is cooked and flavors meld. Enjoy!
