Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a creamy mascarpone filling. Its rich and indulgent flavor, combined with a touch of cocoa powder, makes it a favorite treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 500 g mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Fold in mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into mascarpone mixture.
  3. Combine coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the coffee mixture and layer in the bottom of a dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat layers.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Dust with cocoa powder before serving. Enjoy!
