Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter and sage leaves for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash until smooth.
  2. Let mashed potatoes cool slightly, then mix with flour, egg, Parmesan, salt, and pepper to form a dough.
  3. Roll dough into long ropes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Press each piece with a fork to create ridges.
  4. Cook gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a pan, melt butter and sauté sage leaves. Toss cooked gnocchi in sage butter before serving. Enjoy!
