- 2 cups chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp chole masala
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cook soaked chickpeas in a pressure cooker until tender.
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil. Add onions and ginger-garlic paste, cooking until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, and chole masala, cooking until the oil separates from the masala.
- Stir in cooked chickpeas and some of their cooking water. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy!
