- 4 burger buns
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Green chutney for serving
- Tamarind chutney for serving
Instructions
- In a pan, heat some oil and add mustard seeds. Once they start to pop, add chopped onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Let the filling cool.
- Form the potato mixture into small patties.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the patties until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the burger buns lightly and spread green chutney and tamarind chutney on them.
- Place a fried patty in each bun, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve. Enjoy!
