- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup green peas, boiled
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and 4 tbsp oil. Add water gradually to form a firm dough. Set aside.
- In a pan, heat some oil and add cumin seeds. Once they start to pop, add chopped onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add mashed potatoes, green peas, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Let the filling cool.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin circles. Cut each circle in half to form two semi-circles.
- Form a cone shape with each semi-circle, fill with the potato mixture, and seal the edges with a bit of water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy!
