Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 500 g thinly sliced beef or chicken
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup dashi broth
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 eggs (for Oyakodon)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pan, bring soy sauce, mirin, dashi broth, and sugar to a simmer. Add sliced onion and cook until tender.
  2. Add beef or chicken slices and cook until done.
  3. For Oyakodon, beat the eggs and pour over the chicken mixture. Cover and cook until the eggs are set.
  4. Divide cooked rice into bowls and top with the beef or chicken mixture. Garnish with green onions. Enjoy!
