Ingredients

  • 400 g firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup dashi broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Green onions and bonito flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut tofu into cubes and coat lightly with flour.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry tofu until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a saucepan, combine dashi broth, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Serve tofu in bowls with warm sauce poured over and garnish with green onions and bonito flakes. Enjoy!
