Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp rum

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Grease canelé molds.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk, butter, and sugar until melted. Let cool.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour with eggs until smooth. Gradually add milk mixture, vanilla, and rum.
  4. Pour batter into molds and bake for 45-60 minutes, until deeply caramelized. Let cool before removing from molds. Enjoy!
