- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- In one bowl, place flour, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, pour buttermilk.
- In a third bowl, place breadcrumbs.
- Dip onion rings first in flour, then buttermilk, and finally breadcrumbs.
- Fry in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
