Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fried onions (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add green beans to the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Top with fried onions and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until onions are crispy and casserole is bubbling.
