Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (Hawaiian style)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Mix the BBQ sauce, water, chopped onion, and minced garlic, then pour over the pork.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds.
  3. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return to the sauce and stir to combine.
  4. Divide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top with pulled pork, pineapple chunks, steamed broccoli, and red bell pepper slices.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet and smoky flavors of the islands!
