Ingredients

  • 1 kg octopus, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot and cook onion and garlic until softened.
  2. Add octopus and cook until it starts to brown.
  3. Pour in red wine and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, until octopus is tender.
  5. Serve warm. Enjoy!
