Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for the dough)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250 g ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for the filling)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint or dill, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Add egg and milk, mixing to form a dough.
  3. In another bowl, combine ricotta, sugar, vanilla, and herbs if using.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and fold over to form a crescent shape.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Enjoy!
