Kavourmas is a traditional Greek pork dish seasoned with garlic, oregano, and paprika, and slow-cooked until tender and flavorful. It’s often enjoyed as a meaty appetizer or as part of a hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork belly, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix pork belly with olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Transfer to a roasting pan and pour red wine vinegar and white wine over the meat.
  3. Roast in a preheated oven at 160°C (325°F) for 2.5-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and crispy.
  4. Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!
