Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, 1/2 cup ketchup, onion, bell pepper, egg, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer mixture to a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Spread 1/4 cup ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
