Ingredients

  • 400 g pasta (penne or macaroni)
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Cook pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook onion and garlic until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomatoes, red wine, cinnamon, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. In a baking dish, layer pasta, meat sauce, and béchamel sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
