Ingredients

  • 1 whole duck (about 5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp five-spice powder
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 12 Chinese pancakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare Duck: Clean and pat dry the duck. Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and five-spice powder. Rub over the duck.
  2. Dry Duck: Hang the duck in a cool, dry place for 24-48 hours.
  3. Roast: Roast the duck in a preheated oven until the skin is crispy and golden.
  4. Serve: Slice the duck and serve with pancakes, hoisin sauce, and scallions. Daily!
