Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp rendang paste
  • 2 lemongrass stalks, bruised
  • 1 inch galangal, sliced
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp palm sugar

Instructions

  1. Sear Beef: Brown beef in a pot.
  2. Prepare Sauce: Add coconut milk, rendang paste, lemongrass, galangal, turmeric, cumin, coriander, garlic, and onion.
  3. Simmer until beef is tender and sauce is thickened.
  4. Stir in palm sugar and adjust seasoning. Serve with rice. Enjoy!
