- Total Time: 30 min
- Yield: 4 portions 1x
- Category: Easy
Ingredients
- 10 Rice Paper Wrappers
- 200g Minced Meat (Beef, Pork or Chicken)
- 100g Shredded Cabbage
- 50g Shredded Carrots
- 50g Bean Sprouts
- 50g Chopped Spring Onions
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Fish Sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oil for Frying
Instructions
- Heat some cooking oil over medium heat in a pan. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until browned.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, and chopped spring onions. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- Season the mixture with soy sauce, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Prepare a bowl of warm water. Dip a rice paper wrapper into the water for a few seconds until it softens.
- Lay the softened rice paper on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the vegetable and meat mixture in the center.
- Fold the bottom edge of the rice paper over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly to enclose the filling completely.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the spring rolls into the pan and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the spring rolls from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the spring rolls hot with dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
