 Thai Chicken Satay consists of marinated chicken skewers grilled to perfection and served with a rich and creamy peanut sauce. It’s a popular appetizer or street food in Thailand.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk
  • Skewers

Peanut Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 12 Thai chilies, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce, curry powder, turmeric powder, and coconut milk. Marinate the chicken strips in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  2. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  3. Grill the chicken skewers over medium-high heat until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. For the peanut sauce, combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat until smooth and well combined.
  5. Serve the chicken satay hot with peanut sauce. Enjoy!
